Water Crisis: Deadly Diarrhoea afflicts Kenya's young
AlJazeeraEnglish — 19 April 2010 — Treatment for diarrhoea is simple and cheap, but the disease still kills up to 1.5 million children in Africa every year.
In Kenya alone, about 86 children die every day from diarrhoea.
The government, with funding from Unicef, has launched a campaign to help provide medical treatment and raise awareness of the problem.
But with rampant poor sanitation, Kenyas aim to reduce deaths by half by 2013 will be quite a challenge.
Ama Boateng reports from Nairobi, Kenya.
