Fuel on the cob: corn as food vs corn as fuel
In the push for lower dependence on oil, corn based ethanol has been considered as a viable alternative fuel. However some say production of ethanol would strain the supply of corn for food and also send the price soaring. Janet Larsen of the Earth Policy Institute gives us the pros and cons of corn as food vs corn as fuel.
