A short clip from a presentation about the construction industry and CO2 emissions from concrete. According to the presenter, 5% to 7% of global man made CO2 emissions are from making and using concrete. Apparently, one way of reducing that figure is to combine recycled materials into the mix but surely a better approach would simply be to avoid building stuff we don't need and instead renovate and reuse the buildings that already exist as much as possible.
