Blog Import Guide
Thanks for taking a moment to review this page. As a eco blogger there is no greater reward than having your message heard by other environmentally concerned readers. EnviroSpeak is shaping up to become a prominent community in the green networking space and your blog posts are integral to the succes of our community. To ensure your blog posts get as much readership as possible we have prepared this Importing Guide to encourage active and accurate blogging on EnviroSpeak.tv.
EnviroSpeak offers a blog import tool to help you pull content from an existing blog elsewhere on the internet. Many of our bloggers maintain active environmental blogs of popular blogging platforms such as WordPress or Blogger.com. The EnviroSpeak blog importer is designed to work with any third party blog site to make it as easy as possible to import existing content. As a registered member of EnvirioSpeak you have the option to set up as many blog feeds as you wish using the Blog Importer tool. Here's how
1. Click the 'My Environment' tab from the main navigation

2. Click the 'My Blog' tab from the sub-navigation bar

3. Click Add Button:
Locate the green bar titled "My Blog Feeds" and click the add (+) button located on the far right of the green title bar

4. Enter Feed URL:
In the 'Feed URL' field enter the URL of the external blog that you wish to import content from
5. Enter the relevant tags
The more tags you enter the easier it will be for other reader to search and locate your content
6. Select Syndication Groups
From the 'Syndication' menu select the relevant groups that you wish to syndicate (push) your blog feeds to. 
All groups that you have joined will be listed in the syndication menu. If you do not see any groups listed you'll need to locate and join some groups. Click the Communities tab from the main menu and browse the various communities for relevant groups to join. If you can't find a group that fits the theme of your blog feed you can create a new group. To create a new group locate the group menu on the left side of the community homepage and click the add (+) button. You can enter details for your new group on the ensuing page.

7. Save Your Feed
Once your happy with your settings click 'Save'. Your blog feed is now setup but we're not done yet. Once you click save the Blog Import Tool will crawl the URL provided above and will pull all relevant blog posts into your blog feed queue. Each blog post pulled in through your feed must be inspected and approved before it posts live to EnviroSpeak.tv
8. Review New Blog Posts
Next we need to to inspect each blog post to ensure it's formatted correctly. In the feed queue click the edit icon next to the blog post you wish to review.
9. Edit Your Blog Posts
You can make the necessary edits to your blog post using the text editor. Sometimes a blog post will not import in it's entirety. If you find that your blog content is being trunckated you can copy the missing content from your external blog and paste it into the text editor. During the edit process you can also adjust the tags to reflect the content of each specific post. You can also adjust the syndication groups from the 'Syndication To' menu.

10. Save and Publish
Once you've made your edits click save and your blog post will be published live to the site. You can view your recent blog post on the site homepage, or you can see the post on the homepage of the group(s) that you chose to syndicate your post to. A list of all joined groups can be found in the 'My Network' tab located in the sub-navigation bar.
